P T BARNUM Autograph Signature. Phineas Taylor Barnum, American showman, scam-artist and hoaxer. Proprietor of Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey's Circus. Autograph signature and subscription "yours faithfully" cut from the foot of a letter. On paper piece measuring approx 4 x 2 inches. Mounting remnants on verso. Very good. P T Barnum can lay some claim to be the greatest showman of all time. His circus was the original "greatest show on Earth" and "three ring circus" and he was the man who gave us Jumbo the Elephant, the midget Tom Thumb, the original Siamese twins.....

"I want carriage with all liveries at a quarter before two aft[ernoon] and 4 aft[ernoon] my plain carriage." 8vo. Approx 7 x 4.5 inches. Some creasing and slight browning. LT-GEN ROBERT BADEN-POWELL Newsprint Portrait Signed. British soldier and founder of the Boy Scout movement. Newsprint photographic portrait mounted on post-card and with autograph full signature and date "Robert Baden-Powell Lt. General. March 1928" written boldly across image and mount. The newsprint photograph shows Baden-Powell full-length, in plumed hat and wearing dress uniform, displaying military decorations and honours. The 70 year old general retains an erect military bearing despite his advancing years. Approx 5.5 x 3.5 inches. Fine. Robert Baden-Powell entered the army in 1876. He achieved national acclaim when he led the successful defence of the seige.....

With the original monogrammed envelope addressed in her hand to Lady Head. Together with two ticket stubs for the orchestra stalls at the Sarah Bernhardt Theatre dated 3rd February 1908, two telegrams from Sarah Bernhardt to Lady Head, dated 1903 and 1905 (one with original envelope) and the Dowager Lady Head's admittance card to the requiem for Sarah Bernhardt held at Westminster Cathedral on Tuesday, April 10th 1923. With Free Frank stamp dated 1810 (the day and month being illegible). With Spencer Percival's red wax seal on verso, impressed with a good strike of his heraldic arms.
