His case led to the creation of the English Court of Criminal Appeal.   An autograph letter of thanks to the Daily Mail journalist, G.R. Sims. One of the gang that stole Edvard Munch's painting 'The Scream'.Autograph signature at foot of colour post-card of Edvard Munch's painting 'The Scream'.Approx 6.75 x 4.75 inches (17 x 12 cms). In very fine condition.The theft of 'The Scream' from an art gallery in Oslo in 1994 was one of the most audacious art heists of all time and certainly one of the most widely reported.  Byorn Grytal was one of the gang who staged the theft, on the day that the World's eyes were focused on the opening of the Lillehamer Winter Olympics.....

THE TICHBORNE CLAIMANT Poster Broadsheet

THE Tichborne claimant Poster Broadsheet.Issued by the "Police News" in 1874, priced at one penny.  This large folded sheet is on news print paper and shows portraits of the main protagonists in the trial, locations and court scenes.  It was probably very widely circulated at the time of this celebrated trial but is now a very scarce piece of ephemera.The sheet measures approx 24 x 18 inches (folded) and 36 x 24 inches (unfolded).  Torn at corner with paper loss and with some edge tears and creasing, but in very nice condition comensurate with its fragility and age.  The case.....
